Cinnamoroll Cafe

In Shinjuku, Tokyo

Stroganoff in the sky dish

The Cinnamoroll Cafe is a charming cafe located in Shinjuku, celebrating the beloved Sanrio character, Cinnamoroll. The cafe offers a delightful experience for fans of all ages. Visitors can enjoy adorable Cinnamoroll-themed dishes and sweet treats, making it a must-visit destination for fans of the cute little puppy!

My experience

Cinnamoroll Cafe

The Cinnamoroll Cafe is one of the permanent character cafes in Tokyo. The interior was Cinnamoroll-themed with Cinnamoroll art and pictures scattered throughout the cafe. We also had a huge Cinnamoroll plushie at our table! It wasn't as decked out as the Pompompurin cafe in Harajuku, and had a slightly more relaxed and calm atmosphere. We went on a weekend without reservations and only had to wait a few minutes to be seated!

Cinnamoroll is a tiny, shy, dog that is known for having a tail shaped like a cinnamon roll. He has long ears that allow him to fly. He has also been ranked the most popular Sanrio character for the last three years!

We ordered the goodnight omurice, stroganoff in the sky, Cinnamon's special strawberry spongecake, Mocha's choco choco parfait, peach pop and vienna coffee.

Goodnight Omurice

Goodnight Omurice

The goodnight omurice was so cute! The rice was shaped like Cinnamoroll and covered in an omelette blanked and mini salad. There was also a ketchup tomatoey sauce to pour on top. It tasted like a regular omelette and rice dish!

Stroganoff in the Sky

Stroganoff in the Sky

The stroganoff in the sky was also very adorable. I think the Cinnamoroll cafe is honestly one of the character cafes with the cutest dish designs and executions. The stroganoff was surprisingly really really tasty despite its shocking electric blue color! It came with Cinnamoroll-shaped rice covered in a blue, cheesy, rich sauce. The meat pieces were a little chewy, but the sauce was so good.

Peach Pop & Vienna Coffee

Peach Pop & Vienna Coffee

The peach pop drink was a sweet peach soda with chunks of peach in it as well as a really light peachy (?) sorbet at the top. The taste was subtle and quite refreshing!

This was actually my first time trying a Vienna coffee. I loved the chocolate mustache on the cream. So cute! The cream was really rich and dense, which contrasted nicely against the strong, bitter taste of the espresso. Overall it was quite tasty when mixed!

Mocha's Choco Choco Parfait

Mocha's Choco Choco Parfait

Mocha is a brown puppy and the leader of the aspiring idol group, Cinnamoangels, in the Cinnamoroll universe. Mocha's choco choco parfait comes with chocolate, bananas, and whipped cream. The ice cream is shaped like Mocha and even has her signature adorable pink flowers in her ears!

Cinnamon's Special Strawberry Spongecake

Cinnamon's Special Strawberry Spongecake

The spongecake was surprisingly quite large! It was very tasty though! The sweet, dense cream and the flavorful strawberry filling went well with the light, fluffy cake. Plus the design was just too adorable!

Near the cash register they also had a small gift shop filled with Cinnamoroll goods! The Cinnamoroll airpod cases were so cute! I think they also had a collaboration going on with Hatsune Miku at the time we visited.
